If you're in Istanbul to party, and you want a cheap-but-clean hotel to doss in then this no-nonsense place is for you. It's right in the thick of things and offers reasonable, well-kept rooms.

It ain't pretty though. The lobby is an '80s pastiche seemingly inspired by the Romans, Goths and um…Laura Ashley. Thankfully a lot less effort has gone into decorating the rooms. They're fairly simple, save for the colourful carpet, and definitely pleasant enough to spend eight hours horizontal in. Windows apparently have triple glazing, but it may not help in this area anyway: come tired, and nothing will keep you awake. Sadri Alisik Sokak is one of the busiest streets in the area, lined with cubby-hole bars. The area has a vaguely sleazy air though, so lone female travellers might not want to stop here if they'll be coming and going at night. That said, there's a police station a short skip from the hotel.
