Lonely Planet review

A wonderfully refined, modern four-star hotel in an outstanding location only one block from the Duomo. While other 'designer' hotels in Milan are 'cool' both in attitude and service, this one stands alone for its warm, friendly attention.

With its noteworthy original art and baby-blue colour scheme, this is certainly an original property, but it's the staff here that really set it apart; friendly, efficient and able to switch languages mid-sentence, they keep visiting Europeans and North Americans coming back - and with this brilliant location, who can argue? The rooms are modern and continue the blue mood, immaculately clean, and while some of the furniture may be in questionable taste, the art in the rooms is unfailingly interesting, especially given that the hotel was designed with each piece in mind. Breakfast is another highlight here - perhaps it's because Milan's best delicatessen, Peck, is right next door that makes it so good.
