Lonely Planet review

A decent, honest, family run two-star that is well-positioned on a quiet street off Via Dante. It's clean and well-maintained, and makes a great base for exploring the historic centre of Milan.

It probably helps if you like the colour green if you intend staying at this unpretentious hotel, as there are green velvet drapes, green chairs and green carpet. Still, you're not here to sleep in the foyer. As per usual in Milan, if you're here by yourself it's best to avoid the small singles and go up to a double, as the rooms are tiny. The doubles come in a variety of shapes and sizes, with the ones facing the street being the best bet (No 48 is especially good). The place is very clean (the owners are always on the premises and take pride in their hotel) and while it's quite old-fashioned, it's a comfortable address in a great little area.
