This antiquated resort hotel is smack dab right on the beach, and all rooms come with balcony, dated decor and lots of amenities - what you'd expect at this price level. Prices include all meals and recreational activities.Built in a 1960s-era cram-'em-in style pioneered in Acapulco, it's not the most attractive hotel in town, but proximity to the beach and kid-friendly amenities make it good for a family vacation. The pool is where you'll find all the action; it's surrounded on three sides by blindingly white eight-storey blocks of rooms with balconies. Standard rooms have desks, air con, two beds, large closets, cable TV and a safe. Alas, they smell a tad musty. Ocean-front rooms are capacious, with large balconies and amazing views over the beach and down the coast. In these, the bathrooms have been upgraded with marble sinks and tiled showers - hopefully a harbinger for good things to come throughout the rest of the property. There's a pleasant breezy restaurant fronting a second pool; meals are served buffet style. Activities offered include beach volleyball, aqua aerobics and handcrafts.
