If you want pole position overlooking Auckland's rejuvenated Viaduct Harbour, then look no further than the Sebel Suites, 133 high-finish, super stylish apartments with smooth service and lots of top-end details.

There's a lot to like about this place, including its generous check-out time of 11:00, its nod to Oceania in the lobby decor and its handiness to the city's swankiest eating, drinking, promenading and preening options. To take advantage of it all you'll need to snaffle a suite from the marina level up - why stay smack bang on a harbour like this and not score a water view? While the apartments enjoy a waterfront playground aspect, you can rest assured that business is firmly on the agenda - rooms ooze professional polish and corporate rates are generous. All rooms have balconies, sleek modern bathrooms, and handy facilities such as washing and drying machines and kitchenettes. Bathtubs are strangely tiny for a place with this much oomph, which perhaps explains the discounted entry deal with the city's famous Tepid Baths that lie just out the back.
