A recent renovation of the business-oriented branch of the Grand Hotel Union has resulted in rooms that look more or less like the ones in the Executive (minus the Art Nouveau touches and more expensive rates).

It may not have the little flourishes of the hotel next door - the ceilings are a little lower, the door frames are plain and the lobby not nearly as fancy - but the experience of staying here is virtually the same as in its more salubrious neighbour. Indeed, the Business has a couple of advantages over the Executive: the health club including a 15 metre pool, a sauna and a small fitness centre - is located on the 9th floor of the building. All the street facing rooms on the 8th and 9th floors have stunning views of the surrounding city (the Executive is slightly smaller, and only the rooms in its newer wing have the views). Both hotels share the breakfast room and restaurants, so if you can't get a room in the Executive do not despair, you'll hardly notice the difference.
