A perfectly fine mid-size hotel with friendly service and a convenient location, yet somehow lacking the charm of newer hotels in this range. Rooms are appealingly eclectic, with armchairs, table lamps, doormats and paintings; rooms 22, 24 and 25 have small balconies overlooking the pool. All have hot water, cable TV and free wi-fi (plus a desktop downstairs for the laptopless).

Enjoy a beer or cocktail on the 2nd-floor patio overlooking the street, but avoid rooms on that side - a bar opposite the hotel gets very loud, especially on Friday night.
