In the occasionally dubious area around the bus terminal and train station, the Roma Termini stands out like a beacon. The place is safe, clean and in a good, central position.In a town where the word 'squishy' can quite easily be applied to the majority of hotel rooms in this price range, this place offers a refreshing change. Rooms here are big - almost too big, and some come with lovely touches like parquetry floors and doors opening onto patios or light wells. The decor here is functional without being completely stark. The occasional piece of artwork brightens up the general atmosphere and gives the place a touch of warmth. Staff are on call 24 hours and are full of useful information about the city and day trips into the surrounding countryside.
