Go for rooms with the best views (called guanjing fáng; ???) out over Shan Lake to the pagodas. The hotel is located on bustling Zhongshan Zhonglu, with the night market right on your doorstep, although the raucous music from the adjacent shop is a let down. Rooms are fresh and recently refitted, with fake-wood flooring. Discounts on doubles.
