The breakfast room overlooking the street is a big selling point and rooms have TVs, minbars and space-age air-conditioners.The Suba Palace targets visitors from the Gulf States, which ensures that standards are high. It's a business-like place, with a smart coffee shop and conference hall but it also attracts quite a few tourists (the hotel is just seconds from the Gateway of India and the ferry to Elephanta Island). The interior designer was clearly obsessed with the colour brown - room colours range from camel and taupe through to beige and mahogany. The rooms are currently being upgraded to include big TVs, generously stocked minibars and cutting-edge air-conditioners. Sadly, as one of the better business-class options in Colaba, it's often full.
