At this beautifully kept, renovated older house right on the canal, with a flower-filled garden overlooking the William O'Brien Bridge and the River Corrib, a welcoming cup of tea is just the start of a memorable stay.Kind and friendly hosts Mary and Donie Sexton serve up delicious breakfasts of freshly squeezed orange juice and home-baked brown bread, and in winter Mary wraps up hot water bottles to tuck into the comfortable beds with frilled bedspreads (metallic fans keep the rooms cool in summer). All four rooms have their own en suite bathroom, as well as TVs, hairdryers and radios, and you can request a tray with a kettle, tea and coffee to be brought to your room. The family's Corgi/Jack Russell cross, Tubbs, is also an enthusiastic member of the St Martin's welcoming committee. One family room on the ground floor is wheelchair accessible. At night the views across the garden to the floodlit waterfalls cascading into the swirling river are magical.
